“Nothing about us without us!”

The vast majority of our staff have disabilities. Our core services are independent living skills training, information & referral, peer mentoring, self-advocacy, and transition. We offer several programs to assist our community in a variety of ways. Some of the programs that we offer are home modifications (such as wheelchair ramps), assistive tools and technology, emergency preparedness & weather alert radios for people who are deaf or have hearing impairments. We have a wide variety of assistive technology devices available for demonstration, in partnership with Tools for Life.

NWGA Center For Independent Living is a non-profit Organization Established on January 3, 2012. 

Who We Serve

We proudly serve eighteen counties in Northwest Georgia, including Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Heard, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Troupe, Walker, and Whitfield.

Mission

Our Mission is to empower people who have disabilities so that they may determine their own future and to work towards a more user-friendly, accessible community.

Vision

Our vision is to assist people with disabilities in our community (within the 15 counties) to be independent. We look to achieve this goal by fulfilling their goals through the services we have to offer.
